Fourth of July Holiday Observance

City offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. We will reopen Wednesday, July 5, at 8:30 AM to accommodate your city business needs.

Please note:  City Council will meet the evening of Wednesday, July 5th, as a result of the holiday observance.  For more information on the meeting, please click here.

Please Note: Trash/Recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week due to the holiday.  The City of Monroe’s new refuse contract with Stevens Disposal begins Monday, July 3, so please begin using your new brown Steven's carts the week of the 3rd.  For more information on the updates to Refuse/Recycling services, please visit the links below.

Happy Fourth of July!  Stay safe, Monroe!
