COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING EVENT
Get your hands dirty for a great cause! Join the City of Monroe, in partnership with ReLeaf Michigan, the River Raisin Watershed Council, and the U.S. Forest Service for Tree Planting in Monroe!

WHEN: Saturday, April 25, from 8:45 AM to 12:00 PM
WHERE: 485 Village Green Lane
HOW: Register below!

Join the City of Monroe and community partners for a hands-on tree planting event that will make a lasting impact on our neighborhoods - planting approximately 35 trees along W. Lorain Street.

Trees provide incredible benefits to the communities in which they are planted. Trees improve air and water quality, reduce stormwater runoff, improve mental wellness, reduce rates of childhood asthma, cool our neighborhoods and enhance the commercial and economic vitality.

This effort is part of a broader initiative to strengthen Monroe’s urban tree canopy and improve stormwater management. An Urban Tree Canopy Assessment identified this area as a priority, where new trees will help absorb rainfall, reduce runoff, and enhance the surrounding environment.
