Mason Run Neighborhood

Mason Run Neighborhood

In 1999, the City of Monroe approved a development agreement with Crosswinds Communities to utilize the concept of New Urbanism to transform an urban brownfield into the Mason Run neighborhood. The traditional neighborhood design of Mason Run features dense, walkable neighborhoods that embody the spirit of older established neighborhoods including a range of housing types, narrower streets and front porches and sidewalks that encourage neighbor interaction.

While Creative Land Design and Crosswinds Communities are no longer operating entities, the Planned Unit Development (PUD) Agreement, Master Site Plan and Design Book still govern each parcel with design and construction criteria within the Mason Run neighborhood zoned according to the PUD District.  A link to the documents can be accessed below.
