Minimum Requirements:

  • High School graduate
  • Valid State of Michigan Vehicle Operators License and good driving record
  • Michigan Firefighter I & II certification
  • EMT (paramedic preferred)
  • Hazmat operations level certification
  • Residency within 20 miles of the City of Monroe’s boundaries is required within two years after employment
  • Can hire-in as paramedic and train as a firefighter.
