Congratulations to all of the 2025 Deck the House Holiday Lights Competition participants and our winners! Your holiday spirit and creativity is unmatched! With or without a trophy, every display made Monroe a little brighter!
We're excited to announce the second annual Deck the House Holiday Lights Competition - a festive showdown to see who can light up the neighborhood with the most dazzling display!
Winner chosen by popular vote and there are two ways you can VOTE:
π’ Grab your family and friends, hop in the car and take a tour! Each participating home has a sign with a QR code that you can scan to cast your vote. Make a night of it, follow the map and get in the holiday spirit!
π΄ Take the digital route. All of the participating locations are on the Light Tour Map that's accessible from your desk top and cell phone. Stay cozy, check out the photos and vote from the comfort of your living room.
Public Voting Period is December 15 β December 28, 2025. To maintain the integrity of the voting process and promote fairness, a maximum of one vote per day will be counted for each participant.
Winners will be announced on December 29, 2025 on the cityβs official website and social media pages. Winners will be invited to attend the January 5th City Council meeting to accept their award, and also countdown with the Mayor of the City of Monroe at the 2026 Annual Tree Lighting event.
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
β’ 1st Place by Popular Vote: the GRISWOLD AWARD trophy and $300 gift card
β’ 2nd Place by Popular Vote: $150 gift card + a city recognition certificate.
β’ 3rd Place by Popular Vote: $75 gift card + a city recognition certificate.
Contest is open to residential properties within the City of Monroe.
