August 2, 2022 State Primary Election
Monroe County Unofficial Election Results
Thank you to all who participated in the election - your vote shapes our community!
City of Monroe voting locations will be open for in-person voting for the State Primary Election, Tuesday, August 2nd. The ballot consists of nominating contests for state and congressional seats.
The primary is often used as a means to narrow down a political party's candidates. Residents vote for representative from one party; hence there is no split-ticket party voting. Michigan voters may only vote in one party column. If a vote is cast in both party's columns, the ballot will be invalidated.
This is specific to Michigan's primary race and is not used in the general election.
The Clerk’s Office reminds residents that absentee ballots may be returned in-person or via the City Hall Drop Box located in the parking lot adjacent to the building by 8PM Election Day.
