Crime Mapping

Crime Mapping

The Monroe Police Department uses CrimeReports as a platform for crime reporting.

CrimeReports is the nation’s largest consortium of agencies publishing incident-level information to the public, making information easily accessible for citizens to answer questions they have about crime incidents or trends in their area.

Users can search CrimeReports by region, address, zip code, or law enforcement agency name to see a map with icons identifying recent police activity. You can narrow down the search area to a specific neighborhood and you will see icons that signify different types of crime.

In addition to providing accurate, timely information, the site encourages citizens to submit tips and register private security cameras, in an effort to help increase neighborhood safety.
